Consciousness in Crisis



What if the above ideas and concepts we are discussing are the symptoms of our consciousness in crisis, rather than the root cause of that crisis inherently?


Similar to treating high blood sugar levels and insulin resistance through an endless prescription of medication for diabetics, rather than addressing the root cause of diabetes though diet and exercise.


We live in a truly phenomenal time, yet we can’t seem to see through all the societal noise that surrounds us.


Comparatively and especially despite what you see on every media outlet you have access too, we are in a time of consciousness crisis.


Conversely however, in the grand tapestry of human history, we find ourselves at an unprecedented pinnacle of achievement.


Technological advancements have brought the world to our fingertips, extending lifespans and eradicating diseases that once decimated populations.


We have, in many ways, never been safer, healthier, or more connected.


Yet paradoxically, we are grappling with a crisis of consciousness, a deep and pervasive sense of discontent that seems to contradict the comforts and conveniences of our modern life.


As a society, we live in an era where the average lifespan has soared to heights unimaginable just a century ago.


Medical advancements have turned once-fatal diseases into manageable conditions, and public health measures have significantly reduced mortality rates.


In addition, the global poverty rate has been on a steady decline, and access to education has never been more widespread.


On paper, it would seem, that we are living in a golden age of human accomplishment.

However, beneath the surface of these achievements lies a growing sense of discontent. Rates of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, hyper-tension and stress, have seen meteoric rises. Chronic diseases like diabetes and heart disease, often linked to lifestyle factors, are prevalent despite our access to more health information and resources than ever before.


Moreover, despite the vast array of digital connections at our disposal, feelings of loneliness and social isolation are alarmingly common.


So…. What the actual fuck is going on?


Why, in a world where we seemingly have it all, do so many of us feel so lacking of purpose, meaning and fulfillment?
