Consciousness in Crisis

Outside the (seemingly) ivory towers of academia, consciousness has become a favourite topic in pop culture.
Movies like "The Matrix" and "Inception" play with the idea of simulated realities and dream worlds, making us question the very nature of our existence.
TV shows like "Westworld" explore the line between human and artificial consciousness, while books, apps and a multitude of podcasts delve into "mindfulness" and the pursuit of self-awareness, which we will touch on from our own perspective later in this book.
In the grand tapestry of human knowledge, consciousness remains one of the most captivating and elusive threads.
Our current understanding is a patchwork of scientific discoveries, philosophical debates and cultural reflections. Yet, this very mystery adds to the allure, inviting us to continue exploring the depths of our minds, at an increasing rate as we seemingly become more aware.
